0 About Hope Revealed

Hope Revealed is a ministry devoted to the conviction that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible represent thoughts from the mind of God revealed to human minds and hearts to create a living hope.

Hope Revealed is dedicated to the development of teaching materials to train hearts and minds to rely upon biblical representations as:

The basis for their view of reality,

The basis for rationality and language, and

The basis for taking action in the world.

All of these are to be firmly rooted in the unfailing love of God and his power to cause matter, time and space to conform to the eternal realities in his mind

About the “Return to Me” Series

Isaiah, a prophet of ancient Israel, prophesied thousands of years ago that the promised Messiah would be recognized when he came to walk among the descendants of Abraham so they could make him known as a blessing to all the world. The authority of the Messiah, as one appointed by God, would be clearly seen through his power to heal the blind, free the captives, raise the dead and cause the lame to walk.

This series, “Return to Me: A History of God’s Power” focuses on the wisdom and power of God manifested in Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, and how that wisdom and power is lived out in us, through the working of the Holy Spirit, as we are united by faith to the Word who was with God before the creation of the world and who became flesh in human form (John 1:1-4) so we could become fully like him.

This four-part series of DVD’s with accompanying viewer and study guides will help everyone created in the image of God to learn to walk by faith in God’s revealed wisdom instead of being crippled by limited human perceptions or enslaved by fears and anxiety because of deceptive habits of thinking. As Jesus Christ taught, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32)

“Return to Me” is the message of God to all creation and the history of his power to reconcile all things in heaven and on earth to him through Christ, the Word. This series will help you to read the Bible to enable your mind to be joined by the Holy Spirit to the Seed of the imperishable Word of God so that you can be transformed fully in the likeness of his character, his love, his glory, his holiness, and his immortality.

Part 1: “The Power to Heal the Blind” will help you to use biblical truths as the lens through which you decide what is good to think, say and do in every circumstance you face so that the invisible qualities of God’s divine nature, perfect wisdom and eternal power become visible and real to you within your own mind and heart. These lessons will encourage your faith in what the Scriptures reveal about God, so that you may be made perfect in Christ as a living proof that the Light of the Word has come into the world. As you put into practice what you learn through the Scriptures, God who made light shine out of darkness will cause his light to shine in your hearts in the likeness of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6) so that eyes open to “see” and to “know” him as his words become flesh in you through your faith. This study will also help you to use your faith to distinguish between thoughts that are being shaped by the knowledge of God and other ways of thinking that darken the mind and lead to deception.

Some important questions that will be answered in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 1:
• How does an invisible God reveal himself to you so you can believe the he exists and he is good?
• What is the relationship between what you read in the Bible and the way you think about your situations?
• What does it mean to be created in the image of God and why are you here on the earth at this point in time?
• Why does God allow temptation and what is the “way out” he provides?

Special supplements included in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 1:
Practical tools, instructions and exercise sheets are provided to help you take what you learn from reading the Bible and turn this knowledge into the way you think and talk about all your situations. You will see how everything and anything you know about God (whether it is a lot or a little) can be immediately used to produce good effects within you in all your everyday situations.

Part 2: “The Power to Free the Captives” focuses on the relationship of God’s Word and the mind so that the heart will be fortified with hope and peace no matter what circumstances a believer is called to endure or overcome. These lessons are very practical to teach how to use Scripture to overcome contradictions that cause doubt in the mind or temptations that lead your mind into fear, anxiety, worry and destructive. As you open your mind to these truths, your mind will be transformed into the likeness of Christ, in whom is hidden all wisdom, knowledge and understanding to make you more than a conqueror in all your circumstances because of your hope in God who is working through all your situations to complete his good and perfect purposes for you because of his love.

Some important questions that will be answered in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 2:
• How can your mind be set free from the thoughts that lead to depression, fear, worry, doubt and bitterness?
• How can you view time so you don’t regret the past, seek to escape the present, or fear the future?
• How can you trust in the words of Scripture when facts in your mind or your experience appear to contradict what is written?
• How does faith produce evidence of God’s presence at work in you and in your situations, even when they seem hopeless?

Special supplements included in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 2:
• Additional thoughts and comments regarding how God works in and over time.
• A detailed study of the testing of Israel at Kadesh Barnea and what you can learn from their errors about how to use your faith to resolve the way you view situations and experiences that tempt the mind to doubt God’s power to do what he promises or seem to mock the goodness of his purposes for you.
• A practice exercise to demonstrate how the way you use the word “but” can make the difference between whether your faith matures into hope or whether you abandon your faith when it is tested by what you are experiencing.
• A practice exercise to teach you how to “phase” doubt and contradictions from your mind so that you can see God’s power at work even in the worst difficulties.

Part 3: “The Power to Raise the Dead” examines God’s redemptive power to speak into darkness and emptiness and transform it into light and life, to make alive a body that is dead, and to transform the effects of temptation and suffering in the world into a visible expression in human lives of his unfailing love. This set of lessons focuses on the relationship of suffering and the knowledge of God and his love. While the reason for the presence of suffering in your life will be explored, we will work to answer questions about how you suffer more than on why you suffer because the attitude of the heart in times of suffering will be the greatest distinction between you as a follower of Christ from all the other peoples on the earth. As you apply what you learn in this study, you will be convinced that God is working through all your situations to complete his good and perfect purposes for you because of his love and your faith in his power.

Some important questions that will be answered in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 3:
• Why does God allow suffering and how does he work through it?
• How does God redeem what is meant to harm you for what is of benefit to you and others.
• What is the relationship of knowledge, suffering and God’s love?
• What is the glory being revealed in you that will enable you to endure the pain of your suffering?

Special supplements included in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 3:
• A detailed study of Job and his suffering to demonstrate how the words you choose to think and speak will directly determine how to be victorious over the temptations that come when you are suffering experiences that directly challenge the truth of God’s presence, his power over evil, his love for you, and that he is working good purposes through all your situations.
• A supplement to demonstrate how it is possible to “know” God and how that knowledge works as the “seed” of your becoming like him. This supplement also shows why even though the Pharisees and Sadducees spent hours reading the Scriptures they did not understand their meaning or their power and were rebuked by Jesus for their interpretations.
• A supplement to show what distinguishes a mature Christian in the time of suffering from all those who live by sight instead of by faith.

Part 4: “The power to Cause the Lame to Walk” focuses on he power of the Holy Spirit to help you in your weakness to correctly translate the spiritual truths revealed in Scripture to your mind so you can walk by faith in all your everyday situations. This study illustrates how easily we cripple ourselves by deception and misleading interpretations of the Scriptures when we put our faith in a knowledge acquired through dependence upon human intelligence, sensory information and experience instead of the power of God to translate his thoughts into spiritual words to our mind through his Word and his Spirit. Several sections focus on how marriage is a symbol that has great power to reveal God’s plans on the earth to reveal his glory, but is also susceptible to being corrupted by minds when the Bible becomes a book of rules to them, instead of a living Word to reproduce Christ’s likeness, a revelation of glory, in us. When you interpret and use the Scriptures correctly, the good effects of the light of the knowledge of God’s glory will be revealed through your words, your desires and your actions in every situation just like dropping a pencil makes gravity visible to the eye.

Some important questions that will be answered in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 4:
• What is the correct way to read and interpret the Scripture so that it produces only what is good in my mind, heart and in those who hear it.
• How can you test your heart in any situation to be certain that your thinking is ruled by the Spirit and not by your own imagination or perceptions?
• What does a marriage between a man and a woman symbolize according to the Scriptures that cannot be accomplished as perfectly by other relationships?
• How can your faith reveal God’s power in the same way dropping a pencil makes gravity visible?

Special supplements included in the Viewer and Study Guide for Part 4:
• A special supplement to show from the beginning when God created Adam and Eve, and continuing through he history of humankind, how God has used the relationship between male and female to express the most important and intimate details of the relationship between God and his human creation, the Father and the Son, and Christ and his church.
• A special supplement showing why according to the Scriptures a wife’s submission would never justify her to allow her husband to abuse her body.
